Valley-Wide Food Drive

The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Arizona (ISBA) is delighted to be partnering with our Phoenix-area sponsoring organizations in order to serve those in need in our community. Last year this food drive was a re-stocking effort for The Cultural Cup Food Bank in downtown Phoenix and the Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills. Our smaller food banks continue to need help with donations, as they are less well-known, but experiencing an increase in the need to supply vital services to their communities.

Event Details

Individuals and members of partnering organizations will be going out into their neighborhoods and communities to ask for food donations to collect for this food drive. They will begin doing this on September 2014. All food will be dropped of at the partnering organizations. In 2013 we were able to use two trucks from the Extended Hands Food Bank to visit the participating organizations to pick up all of the donations. They then delivered these to the Cultural Cup Food Bank and the Extended Hands Food Bank. – A list of suggested donations can be found here
